Trucks banned from exiting Tubinakere on highway
Trucks and heavy vehicles are now barred from exiting the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway at Tubinakere Industrial Area. This decision aims to reduce traffic congestion and accidents caused by trucks bypassing the toll plaza. The Minister for Public Works, Satish Jarkiholi, clarified that other vehicles, like cars and jeeps, can still use the exit to access nearby areas. The restriction only affects trucks heading towards Mysuru. Previously, trucks were exiting at Tubinakere to avoid toll fees at the Gananguru toll plaza. The service road remains open for other vehicles, and the National Highways Authority of India confirmed that not all entry and exit points have been closed.
