Trump and Prince William meet in Paris during Notre-Dame reopening ceremony
President-elect Donald Trump met with Prince William in Paris on December 7 during the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris, which had been closed since a fire in 2019. They were among several world leaders at the ceremony. The two leaders held a private 40-minute meeting at the UK Ambassador’s Residence. They discussed the "special relationship" between the U.S. and the U.K. Trump described Prince William as a “good man” and reflected on the late Queen Elizabeth. Prince William expressed gratitude for Trump's remarks about his grandmother. The Prince is also scheduled to meet with First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, but their meeting was delayed due to travel issues.
