Trump and Republicans achieve record high voter ratings
President Donald Trump and the Republican Party are receiving high approval ratings from voters, while Democratic support is waning. According to a recent Fox News Poll, Trump's approval rate is at 49%, matching a previous high from 2020. His ratings are notably strong among women, Black voters, and those under 30 years old. The poll indicates that congressional Republicans have also reached record approval, with 43% of voters expressing satisfaction. In contrast, only 30% of voters approve of congressional Democrats, marking a significant drop in their support. This situation contrasts sharply with Republican backing, which has increased from 54% since last October to 88% now. Concerns exist over Trump's use of executive orders, with about 70% of voters worried these actions could disrupt the country’s system of checks and balances. This sentiment mirrors similar worries during Barack Obama’s presidency. Additionally, the vice president, JD Vance, and Elon Musk, who heads the Department of Government Efficiency, have lower approval ratings among voters. The survey was conducted between March 14 and 17, 2025, involving nearly 1,000 registered voters across the nation. The results show a clear divide in partisan satisfaction, with many Democratic voters expressing discontent with their own party while being united against Trump.
