Trump appoints Russ Vought as budget office chief for second term
Russ Vought has been appointed as the chief of the Office of Management and Budget by President-elect Donald Trump. This is Vought's second time in the role, having previously served during Trump's first term. Vought is known for co-authoring the Heritage Foundation's 'Project 2025' and has a background in conservative policy. He previously held the position of OMB director from July 2020 to January 2021. In addition to Vought, Trump has announced other cabinet picks, including Marco Rubio as Secretary of State and Matt Gaetz as Attorney General.
