Trump appoints Tammy Bruce as State Department spokesperson
President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Tammy Bruce as the new spokesperson for the U.S. State Department. Bruce, a Fox News contributor and former Democrat, will work with Marco Rubio, Trump's nominee for Secretary of State. Bruce has a long media career, having been a political analyst since 2005. She previously hosted "The Tammy Bruce Show" and has written several books, including her latest, "Fear Itself," published in July 2024. Once a liberal activist, Bruce shifted to conservative views in the late 2000s. She has been an advocate for free speech and Second Amendment rights, and has a history of involvement in feminist activism.
