Trump expands voter base by gaining support from key demographic groups in 2024 election

Donald Trump won the presidency by maintaining strong support from his core base and gaining some ground among traditionally Democratic voters. A survey of over 120,000 voters showed Trump increased his share of Black and Hispanic voters compared to 2020. About 80% of Trump voters were white, similar to 2020, while two-thirds of Vice President Kamala Harris' voters were also white. Trump made slight gains among Black voters, particularly young Black men, who showed increased support for him. Harris won over half of Hispanic voters, but that was a decrease from Biden's 60% in 2020. Trump also improved his support among both men and women, with narrower margins compared to Biden's performance in 2020.
