Trump gains ground nationwide but Harris outperforms Biden in key areas

Donald Trump improved his performance in nearly all U.S. counties compared to 2020, winning key battleground states and gaining support among young and Hispanic voters. However, Vice President Kamala Harris outperformed Joe Biden in some areas, particularly among white voters with college degrees. In Georgia, suburban areas around Atlanta shifted left, with Harris making gains in counties like Fayette and Henry. Despite this, Trump won Georgia overall by about 2 percentage points, as rural areas leaned more Republican. Harris also saw improvements in western North Carolina and parts of Michigan, Maine, and Indiana. While she lost ground with some Hispanic voters, she maintained a solid lead in states like Oregon and Washington, which are expected to remain Democratic.
