Trump gains support from minorities and young voters in Texas election
In the recent election, former President Donald Trump gained support from minority and young voters in Texas, according to exclusive exit poll data. His approval among Black male voters rose from 15% in 2020 to 34% this year. Trump also saw increased backing from Latino voters, with support among Latino men jumping from 38% to 53%, and from 36% to 48% among Latino women. Young voters aged 18 to 29 shifted from 35% support in 2020 to 51% this year. The economy and jobs were the top issues for Texas voters. While abortion was a focus in political ads, it did not significantly influence voter decisions, with only 61% of Trump supporters citing it as a factor.
