Trump may distance himself from struggling Elon Musk

A former Trump adviser stated that Elon Musk's declining popularity may negatively impact Donald Trump. During a CNN panel, Alyssa Farah Griffin argued that Musk’s low poll numbers could force Trump to distance himself from the billionaire. Another guest, Melik Abdul, agreed and mentioned that Musk's popularity is a concern not just for Trump but for the entire Republican Party. He noted that Musk can only serve as a special government employee for 130 days each year. Legal affairs journalist Jay Michaelson commented that this situation provides a "convenient out" for Trump. He suggested that Trump might use this opportunity to cut ties with Musk if he chooses.
