Trump nominates Sean Duffy as Transportation Secretary to replace Buttigieg
Donald Trump has nominated Sean Duffy, a Fox Business host and former congressman, as the new Transportation Secretary. Duffy will take over from Pete Buttigieg in January, managing federal infrastructure spending and transit regulations. Duffy, born in 1971 in Wisconsin, has a marketing degree and a law degree. He previously served nearly nine years in Congress and resigned in 2019 to focus on his family after his ninth child was born with a heart condition. Trump praised Duffy as a well-liked public servant and emphasized his commitment to improving America's transportation infrastructure. Duffy is the second Fox News host to join Trump's cabinet, following Pete Hegseth.
