Trump visits Paris for Notre Dame reopening and diplomatic meetings
Donald Trump arrived in Paris on Saturday for his first international trip since winning the U.S. presidency. He will attend the reopening ceremony of Notre Dame cathedral, which has been restored after a fire in 2019. Trump is scheduled to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may also meet Trump, amid concerns in Ukraine about potential concessions to Russia. Macron invited both Trump and outgoing President Joe Biden to the ceremony. Trump accepted, while First Lady Jill Biden will represent the current administration. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will not attend due to a dispute with Macron.
