A ticket inspector on the Bundelkhand Express has lost his job after being accused of harassment. Ramlakhan Meena, the TTE, has been reassigned to a parcel office in Jhansi due to serious allegations made by a female passenger. The incident happened on March 11. The young woman was traveling from Varanasi to Jhansi in the train’s third AC coach. After checking her ticket, Meena reportedly returned and began to stare at her and make inappropriate gestures. Despite her efforts to ignore him, the harassment allegedly continued. As the train neared Mauranipur, the woman began receiving obscene messages on WhatsApp from an unknown number. She could not take screenshots before the messages were deleted, but they kept coming throughout her trip. Using a mobile app called Truecaller, the woman identified the number as belonging to TTE Meena. His photograph was displayed by the app. Upon reaching Jhansi, she reported the incidents to senior railway officials. An investigation confirmed the woman's claims. It was found that Meena had accessed her personal phone number from her reservation details. The Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Aman Verma, stated that this breach of conduct was serious. Following the findings, Meena has been removed from train duty and will face formal charges.
