TUI names Kenya a top travel destination for 2024

TUI has named Kenya as a top travel destination for 2025. The country offers unique experiences, including safaris where visitors can see the "big five" animals—lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos—up close in their natural habitat. The tour operator reports a significant increase in demand for holidays to Kenya. Their "Highlights of Kenya" package has seen a rise in bookings, with a 236% increase for the winter of 2024/25 and a 151% rise for summer 2025. There are also new safari options that allow travelers to enjoy more time on the beach. Kenya Airways is expanding its flights from the UK to Kenya. A new route from London Gatwick to Nairobi will start on July 3, operating three times a week. This will provide more options for travelers looking to enjoy Kenya's beautiful landscapes and rich culture. The coastal region along the Indian Ocean is popular for snorkeling and diving. Nairobi, the capital, has a milder climate, while Mombasa enjoys warmer temperatures. Budget-friendly accommodation is available, with prices as low as £35 per night. Kenya offers various attractions, including National Parks and the historic Lamu Old Town, a UNESCO site. Tour packages, such as an 11-night trip with TUI, start at £2,989 per person, while shorter safaris start at £2,092. Visitors can expect a blend of adventure and relaxation on their trips.
