Tupelo man arrested after evading authorities for months

A man in Tupelo, Mississippi, has been captured after four months on the run. Denarvis Ruff, 32, was wanted for a disturbance that occurred on November 11, 2024. During the incident, Ruff reportedly fired shots into the air and threatened a victim with a gun after a verbal fight. Witnesses identified Ruff at the scene, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on November 25, 2024. The charge was for possession of a firearm by a felon, as he had prior felony convictions. Ruff was arrested on March 19, 2025, by the U.S. Marshals Task Force and the Tupelo Police. He is being held on a $5,000 bond, set by Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Wille Allen.
