Tupelo police seek assault suspect Ryan Hearn

Tupelo police are searching for a man involved in an assault last week. The incident occurred near First Baptist Church on March 10 at around 3 p.m. Police responded to the report on North Church Street. The victim told officers he was talking to a man he knew when the man suddenly became aggressive and attacked him. The suspect is identified as Ryan Hearn, 34 years old. The victim was able to escape and call for help after being struck multiple times. Hearn is known in the area for helping the homeless. Authorities believe he may have left Tupelo and could be in nearby Oxford.
