Turlock man killed, suspect arrested for murder

A man was killed in Turlock, California, during an assault on Tuesday. Authorities say he was hit in the head with a chain. The victim has been identified as 54-year-old Donald Byoyodavid. Police arrived at the scene on South Golden State Boulevard shortly before 1 p.m. They found Byoyodavid injured and unresponsive. Despite efforts to save him, he was declared dead at the scene. The suspect, 31-year-old Devin Tillery, was arrested later that day. Police attempted to stop him but he fled on foot. After a short chase, officers apprehended him. Tillery has been charged with murder and is in jail. Turlock Police Chief Jason Hedden stated that this incident appears to be isolated.
