Twenty-five cases of diarrhoea have been reported among tobacco workers in East Godavari district over two days. The affected workers are from 12 villages in the Gopalapuram mandal. Nineteen patients have been discharged from the Gopalapuram primary health centre, while six remain in treatment. The highest case numbers are from Gopalapuram, Peddagudem, Venkatayapalem, and Vellachintalagudem. Health officials have started a special survey to identify additional fever and diarrhoea cases in the area.
