Twins trade Jovani Moran to Red Sox for infielder Mickey Gasper

The Minnesota Twins traded left-handed pitcher Jovani Moran to the Boston Red Sox for infielder Mickey Gasper. Gasper, 29, made his major league debut in 2024, playing 13 games without a hit but showing strong performance in the minors. Gasper spent most of 2024 at Double-A and Triple-A, hitting .328 with 12 home runs and 58 RBIs. He has played multiple positions in the minors and was selected by the Red Sox from the Yankees in the 2023 Rule 5 Draft. Moran, 27, did not pitch in 2024 due to Tommy John surgery. He had a 4.15 ERA in 79 relief appearances for the Twins from 2021 to 2023.
