Two arrested after Stockton shootout, police report

Two men were arrested after a shootout on Tuesday night in Stockton, California. The police received several calls about gunfire in the Lakeview District on West March Lane. When officers arrived at the scene, they found multiple vehicles and a local business that had been hit by bullets. Following a search, police took the two suspects into custody and found two firearms. One of the men suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have not released the name of the injured person. John Alton Taylor, 19, faces charges for weapon violations and assault with a deadly weapon. Jermaine Thornton, 18, is charged with attempted homicide and weapon violations.
