Two arrested for drug possession in Mattanur, Valapattanam

Police arrested two men related to drug possession in separate incidents on Friday. A 25-year-old local man named K. Nishad was caught with suspected hashish oil during a search on Irrity Road in Mattanur. He had 195.18 grams of the substance, which was stored in 55 small bottles. Authorities believe he intended to sell it and that it was brought from Bengaluru. In another case, Gaur Majhi, a migrant worker from West Bengal, was stopped by police on the Azhikode boat bridge. Police found 205 grams of suspected ganja in his possession. District Police Chief P. Nithin Raj stated that checks will continue, and strict measures will be enforced against drug-related offences.
