Two men, Iqbal and Mohammad Ahmed Khan, were arrested for running a fake job scam that lured people with false overseas job offers. They allegedly forced victims into cybercrimes in Myanmar after taking their money for jobs in Thailand. The arrests followed a complaint filed on March 13 by Sultan Salahuddin Rabbani and two others at the Madehganj police station. The victims reported being sent to Myanmar instead of Thailand, where they were held hostage. Police have registered a case against the accused and identified additional accomplices involved in the trafficking operation. Both Iqbal and Ahmed Khan have previous fraud allegations against them.
