Two arrested in Kings Heath shop raid
Two people were arrested in Kings Heath, Birmingham, after police discovered illegal vapes, counterfeit tobacco, and weapons in a general store. A 53-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman face several charges, including handling stolen goods and drug supply. West Midlands Police, along with the council's trading standards team, acted on a tip-off. Officers visited the store on King's Road and made the arrests. They later searched the suspects' homes, where they found around £400,000 in cash. During the operation on March 20, police also found suspected cannabis and cocaine. The arrested individuals have been released on bail while the investigation continues. Sergeant Kasey Corbett emphasized the importance of community support in reporting criminal activity. Authorities noted that disposable vapes must adhere to legal limits for tank capacity and puffs. If anyone has information about local crimes, they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously for help.
