Two arrested with Rs 25 crore heroin in Sirsa
Police in Sirsa have arrested two men and seized over 4 kg of heroin valued at approximately Rs 25 crore. The drugs were confiscated during a crackdown on drug smuggling in the area. The arrested suspects are identified as Abhishek from Sirsa and Pradeep from Naruana, Punjab. They were caught by police while driving a suspicious vehicle. When the officers approached, the men tried to escape but were stopped. The heroin was found during a search conducted with the presence of a senior officer. During questioning, the suspects revealed they had obtained the drugs in Punjab and planned to sell them in Sirsa and nearby regions. Sirsa's Police Superintendent Vikrant Bhushan announced that the city has made significant strides against drug-related activities. He noted that ongoing efforts have led to 154 villages and 11 wards in the area being declared drug-free. The campaign against drugs will continue, he stated.
