Two bomb-making experts arrested in Maguindanao del Sur
Government forces arrested two suspected terrorists in Maguindanao del Sur on Monday. The suspects, Ali Kamsa and Justine Balugagosa, are believed to be bomb-making experts connected to the Dawlah Islamiyah-Hassan Group. The arrest took place during a joint operation by the military and police in Barangay Kapinpilan, Ampatuan town. Lieutenant Colonel Loqui Marco, the head of the Army's 90th Infantry Battalion, reported that the suspects were taken into custody without resistance. Authorities seized significant war materiel during the operation. This included six assault rifles, two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), ammunition, and a hand tractor that was used to transport the equipment. The suspects are now in police custody, and the confiscated items are secured by the 90th Infantry Battalion. Both Kamsa and Balugagosa were already on the military's watch list as skilled fabricators of IEDs.
