Two brothers die in Ashok Nagar motorcycle accident

Two brothers died in a motorcycle accident early Thursday morning in Ashok Nagar. The victims are Shakil Bashir, 23, and Asalam Bashir, 22. They ran a hotel together on Bajaj Street and lived in Neelasandra. The accident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. Shakil was riding the motorcycle when he lost control and hit an electric pole at Anepalya junction. Both brothers suffered serious head injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities believe speeding contributed to the crash. Neither brother was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The Ashok Nagar traffic police have taken the bodies to Bowring Hospital for a postmortem examination, which is pending.
