Authorities in the Philippines have arrested two suspected drug traffickers in Laguna province. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police conducted a buy-bust operation on Monday in Sta. Cruz town. The operation took place in a shopping mall parking lot. The suspects, identified as "Leovigildo" and "Allan," were caught with five plastic bags containing a total of 500 grams of shabu, or crystal meth, valued at 3.4 million pesos. In addition to the drugs, police seized a motorcycle believed to be used in their illegal activities and a mobile phone that will be checked for links to drug transactions. Both suspects are considered high-value individuals in the fight against illegal drugs, which includes major traffickers and syndicate members. The PDEA is investigating where the drugs came from. The suspects are currently in detention and will face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
