Two elderly women robbed in Ludhiana snatching incidents

In Ludhiana, two elderly women were victims of theft by snatchers in recent incidents. The local police have filed first-information reports (FIRs) for both cases. The first incident involved Harbans Kaur, a 75-year-old woman from Kanchan Colony. She reported that on March 15, while she and her husband were buying fruits near the Indoor Stadium on Pakhowal Road, two women and a man approached them. During their conversation, one of the women stole Harbans' gold earrings and fled. The Dugri police are now reviewing CCTV footage to find the suspects. In the second case, an 80-year-old woman named Paramjit Kaur was targeted outside her home in Durgapuri, Haibowal. On the same Friday, two men on a motorcycle snatched her gold earrings. The Haibowal police responded to her complaint and are also examining CCTV footage to track down the suspects. Authorities have registered these cases under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. They are working to identify the accused and ensure the safety of the community.
