Delhi Police have arrested two shooters from the Kala Jathedi gang after a gunfight in Dwarka. The suspects were taken into custody with injuries to their legs. This operation is part of a larger effort to combat gang violence and extortion against local businesses. The encounter took place on Saturday night, as reported by ANI. The Special Cell of Delhi Police confirmed the arrests, which followed a series of violent incidents linked to the gang. Just days before, three gang members were captured during police operations aimed at curbing extortion. The Kala Jathedi gang, led by a gangster currently in prison, has been involved in several extortion cases. Their victims predominantly include local businessmen who have faced threats and violence. In recent investigations, police identified three key suspects whose criminal activities included firing at a businessman's home. A coordinated police effort began on March 17, involving local police and special operations. The two suspects were spotted on a motorcycle and tried to escape after a police vehicle collision. They fired at officers, leading to police returning fire and injuring them. Authorities recovered four pistols and ammunition during the arrest. One of the suspects, known as Parveen alias Tona, has a long criminal history and was already wanted in other cases. These arrests are part of "Operation No Guns, No Gangs," which aims to dismantle criminal networks in the area. Further investigations are ongoing to hunt down more members of the gang.
