Two gang shooters arrested in Deoghar, Jharkhand

Two shooters from the gang of the late gangster Aman Sahu were arrested in Deoghar on Wednesday. The operation was carried out by a special team from Kandra police station, supported by local law enforcement. The shooters, Roushan Kumar and Rahul Singh, were taken into custody at their homes in the areas of Kunda and Rikhiya. Police reported that both men have extensive criminal records, with multiple charges filed against them for serious crimes, including extortion and murder. A senior police officer stated that Kumar and Singh were key members of Sahu's gang. They were involved in violent extortion efforts, using intimidation to collect money from victims chosen by their gang leader. In June 2023, Kumar and Singh had already been arrested for threatening staff at a construction company by firing shots in the air. The latest arrest is linked to an older extortion case recorded at the Kandra police station.
