Two Guatemalan men arrested for unlawful U.S. reentry

Federal agents have arrested two Guatemalan men in Springfield for returning to the United States illegally. Ortiz-Garcia is particularly notable because he allegedly returned to the U.S. three times after being deported. His deportations followed various convictions, mainly related to driving offenses. These arrests follow a recent operation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, who detained three other individuals in nearby Pittsfield. The actions come amid President Donald Trump’s commitment to strengthen immigration enforcement in the country.
