Two men have been charged in connection with a series of home invasions and robberies in Monroe County. The men are Anthony Ciccone, 35, from Bushkill, and Jose Ramirez, 34, from East Stroudsburg. According to the Stroud Area Regional Police, the incidents occurred on Thursday in Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg. Ramirez reportedly broke into a home on Barry Street, where he threatened the residents with a knife and demanded money. He stole cell phones and escaped in an SUV. The victims pursued him in their own vehicle. They managed to break his SUV's rear windshield while he was stopped at a red light, causing him to drive away. Later, Ramirez allegedly robbed another house on King Street in a similar manner. Law enforcement spotted the SUV later that day on Lackawanna Avenue in East Stroudsburg. Police arrested both men, with Ciccone identified as the driver during these crimes. Investigators revealed the duo had previously robbed someone at knife point on Hallet Street and had also broken into another home on Lackawanna Avenue. Ciccone and Ramirez face multiple felony charges, including robbery, burglary, trespassing, and theft. Authorities believe they may be linked to other armed robberies in the area. Police are asking anyone with information to reach out through their website or by phone.
