Ludhiana: Two men have been charged with culpable homicide after an auto-rickshaw driver died from injuries caused during a fight over passengers. The incident took place in Khanna, along the GT Road. The accused, Manpreet Singh from Libra village and Rajvir Singh, allegedly attacked Kaur Mohammad, another auto-rickshaw driver. According to a complaint filed by Mohammad's son, Abas, the dispute began when Manpreet Singh took a passenger who was about to enter Mohammad's vehicle. An argument broke out, and Manpreet called Rajvir for help. When Rajvir arrived, he allegedly picked up a tile from the road and hit Kaur Mohammad in the chest, causing him to fall. Emergency responders took the injured driver to a civil hospital in Khanna, but he was later transferred to a hospital in Chandigarh and then to Dayanand Medical College Hospital. Kaur Mohammad died from his injuries, prompting his son to file a police report. The local police confirmed that a case has been opened against both suspects. Investigations are ongoing, and the police are working to locate the accused.
