Two Rivers Brewing Co. to open beer garden in Easton

Two Rivers Brewing Co. in Easton plans to open a new beer garden this summer. The beer garden will be located in a vacant lot next to their restaurant at 542 Northampton St. Co-owner Troy Reynard believes this space will be a unique addition to the area. Currently, several Easton restaurants offer outdoor dining, but few have a dedicated beer garden. The only similar spaces are at Connexions Gallery and Bar Bix. The owners of the adjacent property, who converted a building at 538 Northampton St. into an Airbnb, agreed to let Two Rivers use the lot at 540 Northampton St. for the garden after a year of discussions. The Easton Alfresco program allows restaurants to set up outdoor tables. However, diners on the sidewalk often deal with noise and sun. The new beer garden will provide shade and a more pleasant atmosphere. It will be fenced in and feature live music. Patrons will enter through Two Rivers, where a window will be installed to serve food orders. The beer garden will have 24 seats, adding to the 100 indoor seats at Two Rivers, which has been a part of the downtown scene since 2012. The restaurant received zoning permits recently that allow them to open the beer garden without needing additional parking spaces. Reynard hopes the new space will be a comfortable spot for diners.
