Two Rivers man arrested for stabbing girl, standoff
A man in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, has been arrested after he stabbed a girl in the chest on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on 21st Street. The girl was taken to the hospital but her injuries are not considered life-threatening. Police responded to the scene and found the suspect inside the home. He refused to come out, leading to a standoff that prompted the SWAT team to be called in. After a brief negotiation, authorities were able to take the man into custody. The arrested man, who is 22 years old, faces multiple charges. These include recklessly endangering safety, physical abuse of a child, false imprisonment, and bail jumping. Other local agencies, including the Mishicot Police Department and the Two Rivers Fire Department, assisted with the situation.
