The boys were returning from visiting friends at around 7 pm. While navigating a curve near a canal, Sabarinathan lost control of the bike and hit a median. The impact caused both boys to be thrown off the bike. Tragically, they fell into the path of an oncoming truck and were run over. Emergency services were called by nearby passersby, but the boys died at the scene. The Vengal police quickly arrived and sent the bodies for a postmortem examination.
