Two Texas men arrested for human trafficking in Columbus
Two men from Texas have been arrested in connection with human trafficking in central Ohio. They were taken into custody by the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force and the Columbus Division of Police. The arrests came after the FBI informed Ohio officials about a juvenile victim believed to be in Columbus. The task force began searching for the missing child on March 13. Later that evening, Timarrea Granderson, 27, was arrested with one of the four victims in his possession. Larry Hill, 26, was also arrested that night after he barricaded himself inside a home. Inside the residence, police found two more victims. A fourth victim was rescued from a different location. All four victims, who are from Texas, are now receiving support services. Granderson and Hill face serious charges, including trafficking of a person and compelling prostitution of a minor. They are currently awaiting extradition back to Texas.
