Two victims of Kalyan gas leak succumbed to injuries

In Kalyan, two people have died from severe burn injuries after a fire caused by an LPG cylinder leak. The incident occurred last month, on February 25, in Mahatma Phule Nagar. Vijay Tandel, 56, passed away on March 7, while Mahima Jadhav, 12, died on March 13. A report on the deaths has been filed by the Khadakpada police, treating it as an accidental death. The fire started when Tandel went to help his neighbor, Anita Jadhav, 38, fix a broken gas regulator. After he connected the gas pipe and turned the knob, a large fire erupted due to gas leakage. Tandel, Anita, and her daughter Mahima all suffered serious burns, with injuries affecting over 40% of their bodies. They were initially taken to Rukminibai Hospital in Kalyan and then moved to Sion hospital for more advanced care.
