Two women arrested for using leaked forest exam papers
Police in Rajasthan arrested two women on Sunday for allegedly cheating on the Forest Guard Recruitment Exam in 2020. Seema Kumari, 22, and Timo Kumari, 24, reportedly paid Rs 6 lakh each to obtain a leaked exam paper. The arrests took place in Banswara district and followed an investigation by the Special Operations Group (SOG) that began last June. SOG officials said a former student union president and municipal councillor, Naresh Deo Saharan, provided the exam paper to the women through an intermediary. Seema, from Siwana in Balotra district, is currently employed as a forest guard in Balotra Range. Timo, from Ratasar in Barmer district, serves as a forest guard in Chohtan Range. Local police assisted the SOG in their arrests in Barmer. SOG’s additional investigations revealed that Saharan played a crucial role in supplying the exam paper before the test. The investigation continues to find out who was the original source of the leaked papers. Earlier, three police constables from Udaipur were also arrested in the same case.
