Two-year-old girl raped by neighbor in Madhya Pradesh

A two-and-a-half-year-old girl was raped by a neighbor in Satna town, Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday. The attacker lured the girl while she was playing near his home. After the incident, the child told her mother what happened. The family quickly reported the crime to the police. Authorities have arrested the suspect under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Police stated that the girl’s medical checkup found no serious injuries, which is a relief for her family. Local residents expressed relief that the accused is now in custody, as he was known to be a troublemaker in the area. Jitu Patwari, the leader of the Congress party in the state, criticized the government’s handling of such crimes. He highlighted the serious and tragic nature of the incident, urging the chief minister to take action to protect children in the state.
