Tyka Nelson, sister of Prince, dies at 64

Tyka Nelson, the younger sister of music icon Prince, has died at the age of 64. Her family confirmed her passing on November 4, 2024, but did not disclose the cause of death. Born in Minneapolis in 1960, Tyka was a singer and released four albums during her career. She had planned a retirement concert in June but was unable to perform due to illness. Tyka often participated in events related to her brother and was working on a memoir earlier this year. She is survived by her two sons and siblings.
