Tyler Smith promotes mental health awareness in Saskatchewan
Tyler Smith, a former Humboldt Bronco, is working to raise awareness about mental health. He spoke at a luncheon organized by the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association on Thursday. His speech came just weeks before the anniversary of the tragic Humboldt Broncos crash on April 6. During his talk, Smith emphasized the importance of addressing mental health issues. He shared his own experiences to help others understand the struggles many people face. Smith stated, "We are all on a journey, and everyone’s story looks a little bit different." He encouraged attendees to remember those who lost their lives and those affected by the crash. Smith believes that greater openness and understanding surrounding mental health can help many individuals. He remarked, “I think the awareness around mental health is, like, probably the most important thing.” His goal is to inspire others to seek help and support.
