Tyler Wagner commits to Austin Peay for basketball

Tyler Wagner, a senior guard from Champlin Park, has chosen to play college basketball at Austin Peay. He announced his commitment on Wednesday. Wagner is known for being the first player in Minnesota's Class 4A to score 60 points in a game. Wagner, who is 6 feet 6 inches tall, averaged 27.7 points per game this season. He helped lead his team, the Rebels, to a 23-5 record before they lost in the Class 4A, Section 5 championship. This season, he had 11 games where he scored 30 points or more, including his record-setting game against Blaine. Wagner is considered a three-star prospect and is ranked as the sixth best player in Minnesota’s Class of 2025. He also received Division I offers from North Dakota, Bryant, Canisius, High Point, and Tennessee-Chattanooga. Other top seniors in Minnesota have already signed with colleges.
