Typhoon Nika leads to suspension of vehicle number coding in Manila
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has suspended the expanded number coding scheme for vehicles on Monday, November 11, due to Typhoon Nika. This decision was announced on Sunday evening. Typhoon Nika has intensified, with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 150 kilometers per hour. It is currently located about 100 kilometers east southeast of Casiguran, Aurora. Residents are advised to stay safe and monitor weather updates as the typhoon moves west northwestward at 20 kilometers per hour.
