Typhoon Ofel brings heavy rainfall warnings to Northern Luzon from November 13 to 16
Typhoon Ofel, also known as Usagi, is set to bring heavy rainfall to Northern Luzon from November 13 to November 16. The Philippine weather agency, Pagasa, has issued warnings for moderate to heavy rains in Cagayan and Isabela. Rainfall amounts could reach 50 to 100 millimeters, with localized flooding expected in urban and low-lying areas. Intense to torrential rains are forecasted for Thursday and Friday, particularly in Cagayan and Isabela. As of now, Typhoon Ofel is located about 485 kilometers east-northeast of Daet, moving northwest at 20 kilometers per hour. It has maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour and is expected to make landfall on Thursday afternoon.
