Typhoon Ofel to exit Philippine area of responsibility on Friday after passing Cagayan
Typhoon Ofel, also known as Usagi, is moving northward and is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Friday afternoon. It passed between the Babuyan Islands and northern Cagayan. Currently, Ofel is located near Calayan, Cagayan, with maximum winds of 130 kilometers per hour. It is moving northwest at 25 kilometers per hour and is forecasted to weaken due to unfavorable conditions. The Philippine weather bureau has raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals in several areas and issued a gale warning for the northern and eastern coasts of Northern Luzon. Coastal waters may experience rough seas.
