Typhoon Pepito approaches super typhoon status as more areas in the Philippines face wind warnings
Typhoon Pepito, also known as Man-yi, is expected to become a super typhoon soon. As a result, more areas in the Philippines have been placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3, indicating significant wind threats. The Philippine weather agency, Pagasa, reported that Pepito is currently 220 kilometers east-northeast of Borongan City, with maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour. It is moving west-northwest at 25 kilometers per hour. Areas under Signal No. 2 can expect wind speeds of 62 to 88 kilometers per hour, while those under Signal No. 1 may see winds of 39 to 61 kilometers per hour. These conditions may pose varying levels of risk to life and property.
