Typhoon Pepito, also known as Man-yi, has intensified and prompted the Philippine weather agency to raise Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 in Northern and Eastern Samar. The typhoon is currently located 650 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar. As of November 15, Pepito has maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 160 kilometers per hour. It is moving westward at 30 kilometers per hour. The typhoon is expected to make landfall near Catanduanes on Saturday evening or early Sunday. It is the 16th tropical cyclone to affect the Philippines this year.
