UCF guard Nils Machowski enters transfer portal

UCF guard Nils Machowski is reportedly entering the transfer portal after two seasons with the team. He played in 27 games this season, starting five of them. Machowski averaged 2.8 points and 2 rebounds in about 11 minutes per game. He had a shooting percentage of 42%, making 23 of 55 shots, and he hit 33% of his 3-point attempts. Monday was the first day players could enter the transfer portal, which is open until April 22. UCF's team has a record of 17-16 and will compete against Oregon State in the first round of the College Basketball Crown Tournament on April 1. The game will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Machowski, who is 6-foot-3, joined UCF after playing for Alba Berlin in Germany last season. In his first year at UCF, he appeared in 25 games, averaging 2 points and 1.1 rebounds in about 9 minutes of play, mainly coming off the bench.
