Uchenna Nwosu signs new deal with Seattle Seahawks
Uchenna Nwosu has reached a new agreement with the Seattle Seahawks. The deal gives the team more salary cap space. General Manager John Schneider confirmed they were working on this new contract. Reports indicate that Nwosu has accepted a pay cut of $6.99 million for the 2025 season. As a result, his salary cap hit will decrease by over $9 million. However, his cap figure for 2026 will increase by $2 million due to these changes. According to ESPN, Nwosu can regain up to $5 million from the pay cut through performance-based incentives. These incentives are linked to his sacks, playing time, and the team's playoff advancement. Additionally, Nwosu will be changing his jersey number. He will give up No. 10, which will go to Cooper Kupp, and will now wear No. 7. This number became available after Geno Smith was traded to the Raiders.
