UFC loses fighters, signs new talent following cuts

UFC has announced the departure of several fighters, including lightweight Jalin Turner and flyweight contender Montana De La Rosa. Turner has retired after suffering multiple losses. Other fighters released include Marcos Rogerio De Lima and So Yul Kim. Jalin Turner, at 29 years old, decided to retire following a loss at UFC 313. He expressed confidence in his decision, saying he feels mentally ready to move on from fighting. He announced his retirement on social media, which was confirmed by UFC Roster Watch. Montana De La Rosa was also removed from the UFC roster despite winning her last fight against Andrea Lee. Lee had been cut from the UFC earlier this month. Marcos Rogerio De Lima had a long career in MMA, starting in 2009. His record stands at 22 wins and 10 losses. His last fight was a win against Junior Tafa at UFC 298. Many fans reacted negatively to De Lima's release, wishing to see other fighters cut instead. So Yul Kim, a South Korean fighter with a record of 8 wins and 1 loss, was also cut from the UFC. She never had the chance to compete in the promotion. Despite cutting these fighters, UFC signed two new fighters, Alexia Thainara and Andrey Pulyaev. Thainara holds a record of 11 wins and 1 loss, while Pulyaev stands at 9 wins and 2 losses after their recent successes in Dana White’s contender series.
